From humble beginnings skating in a car park, the league has grown to become a huge success. Currently we have two competing teams - the Northern Fights and our newly formed OTA team, we bring in and coach new skaters all the time, running training sessions 4 nights a week across Aberdeen!
Roller Derby is a fast-paced and full-contact indoor sport played by teams on quad roller skates. Granite City Roller Derby are members of United Kingdom Roller Derby Association and the Northern Fights have competed in the British Championships under WFTDA rules for the past 4 years, and hope to return in 2019.
Anyone over 18 is welcome to participate in a fun, friendly, and inclusive environment and we welcome individuals of all abilities, our experienced coaches provide comprehensive training for our fast, fun, hard-hitting sport.
