Club Sport Aberdeen are pleased to confirm that we are currently able to offer affiliated clubs the opportunity to apply for two bursary and grant funds to provide financial assistance to clubs and their members.
Performance Athlete

2025 Application Closing Dates:

  • Wed 13th August at 5pm
  • Wed 17th October at 5pm
  • Wed 10th December at 5pm

Applicants will be informed of the board decision within 14 days of the above dates.

Club Sport Aberdeen Performance Athlete Bursary Form

This is a short-term funding grant open to U18 athletes, and applications will be considered on a first-come, first served basis with each application judged on its merits.  Once all funding is allocated, there is no current guarantee of further funding rounds being made available.

Applications will be accepted up to a total maximum value of £100 per athlete.

Club Sport Aberdeen Performance Athlete Bursary

Club Sport Aberdeen Hardship Training Grant

This grant allows affiliated clubs the opportunity to apply for funding to support volunteer and coach training for those who are face significant financial barriers to attend or to support training of volunteers to deliver in priority neighbourhoods within Aberdeen City.

Coaching

One or more of the following criteria should be met for a bursary to be awarded: 

  • Recipient must be resident in a priority neighbourhood within the city (Northfield, Woodside, Tillydrone,  Seaton, Torry) OR SIMD quintiles 1-2 
  • Volunteers should be delivering club programmes within priority neighbourhoods or SIMD quintiles 1-2 
  • There is clear justification that cost of training is a clear barrier to individual(s) accessing training.
  • Volunteers / coaches are care experienced, young carer or supporting those individuals

A maximum of £200 will be awarded to any individual coach or volunteer who meet the criteria above.

A maximum of £500 will be awarded to any club looking to deliver courses to multiple volunteers who meet the criteria.
