Aberdeenshire Cricket Club located in the Mannofield area of Aberdeen, is a friendly and thriving cricket and social club that can offer something for everyone.
Founded in 1857 Aberdeenshire Cricket Club forms a significant part of the long and illustrious history of cricket within Scotland and the Aberdeen area. Regarded as the focal point for cricket in the north-east of Scotland, our club contains international-standard cricketing facilities, with one-day international status granted to the club in 2008.
With five senior teams offering players of all abilities the opportunity to play cricket we also field numerous junior sides all of which benefit from training supervised by a dedicated group of qualified cricket coaches.
- The Aberdeenshire team compete in the Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union Premier League.
- The Mannofield XI play in Grade 1 of the local Aberdeenshire Cricket Association leagues
- The Mannofield 3rd Xl play in Grade 3 of the Aberdeenshire Cricket Association
- The fourth XI participate in the Strathmore and Perthshire Cricket Union Recreational and Development North Division.
- The Aberdeenshire Womens team Northern Lights play in the Cricket Scotland Womens Premier League
A key objective of the club is to provide opportunities for junior players to learn and play cricket from 5 to 16 years of age:
- We are an ECB accredited Allstars cricket centre, the 8-week programme runs from May to July and is an introduction to cricket for 5 to 8 year olds.
- Players progress to a mixture of softball at U10 and U12, and hard ball cricket at U14 and U16 age groups with twice weekly training sessions and short duration games against local clubs.
New members are always welcome whether it be as a playing member or a purely social member.
Our Licensed Members Bar is open 7 days a week, with bar meals being served at the weekends. The club has both Sky Sports and BT sports and regularly shows Live sport events on the multiple televisions around the bar.
We also have a large function suite, "The Bradman Suite", which is ideal for larger group gatherings such as parties, meetings, presentations, and it has even been used for fitness classes.
